Shopping in the Watch Lake / Green Lake Area
Shopping around Watch Lake and Green Lake is truly amazing. There are quite a few craft
stores that offer hand made crafts and souvenirs. You can find Christmas decorations,
household things, tapes, CDs, and books, clothing for all ages, and fishing gear including
locally hand-tied flies.

You can even take a tour on a buffalo ranch and buy some buffallo burgers or steaks to
take back to your campsite or cabin. Thats right - ride on a wagon right out amoungst
the buffalo - so close you can almost touch them. After the tour you can purchase
products like a buffalo coat, a skull with horns, or buffalo meat.

Our closest major business center is 100 Mile House, about a half hour drive. If you wish
to stay close to the lakes, though, you can find pretty much every thing you need in one
of the local stores. The area is also rich in history with pieces of the old wagon road
to Barkerville still intact and there is a farm equipment museum close by that still
has the original barn that was used for the the stage coach horses.
