XH Buffalo Ranch
See #8 on the map below
Take a Tour through a Buffalo Herd!
Imagine a trip back in time - to when the Canadian Plains Bison roamed the untamed
prairie. Imagine the photos that you could take from the ranch wagon when it tours so
close to these huge animals that you can almost touch them! Not only do you ride through
the herd, but you can also learn as Hans stops the wagon and tells his passengers about
the history of Buffalo in North America, how they raise Buffalo, and all about these
magnificent beasts and their habits. You won't be disappointed. Hans, Elisabeth, and Rudy
Karlen have been specializing in buffalo ranching for the past 15 years. The XH Buffalo
Ranch is located at Green Lake, just 20 km east of 70 Mile House. While you're visiting
you can purchase souvenirs at the Ranch Store such as a buffalo skull, a buffalo hide,
or something small like a buffalo hide pillow, a hoof, or a dew claw! Or...how about a
full head mount to hang above the fireplace?
